Kenya has a military presence in Somalia despite a lack of good relations with the current leader at Villa Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.

A statement from the State Department said, "The attempt to oust Prime Minister Roble is a matter of concern and that the United States supports his efforts to hold credible and credible elections."

The statement comes as the opposition presidential candidates’ union announced it will boycott the result of the ongoing election over fraud, misconduct, and lack of transparency in the voting process.

Kirby added that, like previous airstrikes, US forces were not on the ground with Somali forces but were conducting advisory and air support operations.
